Last year was incredibly successful for Nicki. Perhaps not as a hip-hop artist and aspiring fashion icon, but everywhere else, it was a massive success. Goodbye.

It's not that it wasn't successful, it was just less successful than PF.
I think the last of Grammy nominations, the lower album sales, the 60 on MC, and the constant battering and sellout comments just kind of got to people. Just a bit.

She needs to grow some balls then and turn her back on these haters and not care, even if they're former fans.
This month's stats speak for themselves:
If the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Ke$ha, etc. let even 1% of all the bad crap thrown at them get to them, they'd all be in serious in trouble. And with Rihanna and Flo, they went through their teething period where they were trashed, but are now widely respected for being the best at what they do. Even beginning on ATRL, where you are getting comments like "King Flo Rida" and "Queen Rihanna".

Besides Rihanna, all of the artists you've mentioned don't have a Grammy.
I know a lot of "icons" don't have one, but wouldn't you want Flo Rida to at least win ONE Grammy in his career? You ALWAYS avoid me when I mention PF, and I hate sounding redundant but THAT'S what people want from her. They want an album like PF not an album like PFRR.
You comment on Nicki being diverse and yet you wan her to become like Flo Rida, who isn't diverse. He sells singles and that's the jist of it all. Musically, he's good for some bops at the party, that's it.
All I want is for her to win ONE Grammy. After that, she can be as generic as possible and release a 12 track album of Starships'.
And I don't know why you're putting Rihanna in there when she has nothing in common with the other artists. That was a terrible comparison.

(Serious note, Willy. - I'm flattered but unless this gets me the "Most Evil Barb" Award, I'm not interested son.)

Flo-rida puts out singles and they are forgotten 2 months later. Nobody ACTUALLY BUYS flo-rida's album. He isn't respected. He will most likely NEVER be considered an icon, or an influence by other artists. Why would anyone want nicki to become this

I'm fairly confident he'll win one this next era. He's already have four Grammy nominations, but even with Wild Ones he said he felt it wasn't his time yet. This new era is when it's time - he's been saying it's his strongest body of work yet, and that's why he felt the need to sing his hooks this time, because he wants to "completely own it".

Firstly, when you sell close to 70M singles in 5 years, have one of the highest airplay ranks in the world and are the most streamed male artist in the world, saying "he sells singles" is hardly an insult.
Secondly, he is diverse. Wild Ones might have a dance-pop focus, but lyrically the songs are very different from one another, and that trait runs through most of his work. He is also subversive in that he doesn't sing about drugs or vulgar-sleaze or even brag that much. The singles tend to be about clubbing or love, and the album tracks are social/political emotions.
Also the fact he didn't faff around doing mixtapes and jumped straight into releasing his debut single, that was refreshing.

Well, they do. But Warner Music don't care about album sales anyway, they make their money from the singles (every 9 Flo Rida singles sold = an album sale), and Flo makes his money from gigs and concerts.
Four Grammy nominations and adored by the industry. A *demo* of an upcoming album track is currently the most added urban track in Florida. Take a seat.

Suggest you listen to Nelly's new single. Or Ke$ha's Die Young. Or about a dozen other current songs.

"No wig, no costume"???
Unless she's coloured her real hair blonde...
She looks great though. Best she's ever looked. She should keep it, even when she's at like the BET Awards or something.

Flo-rida puts out super generic singles that are catchy. Catchy = sales. It's not that hard to do, especially when radio is only here for that EDM/Pop stuff now.
LOL grammy's don't mean ****. Flo-rida is not respected, among the gp and critics. To be honest the man is a JOKE.
And just cause songs sound similar to his doesn't mean he's influencing anyone. All of his songs are samples anyways.
And Nicki is nowhere near Flo-Rida, they are not similar at all.
Flo-rida = a Pop/Rapper who the gp doesn't give a **** about, great single sales
Nicki = A pop/rapper who the gp is SUPER INTERESTED in, she's in the news more for her antics than her music.
