I realized a long time ago that I can't write lyrics for Ke$ha. I can help her get to where she needs to be, but I can't do it because it doesn't sound right.
AP: You're one of five songwriters listed on Ke$ha's current hit single, "Die Young." How did the collaboration come about?
Ruess: I just wrote the hook and I wrote it for something else, and then a couple of producers got a hold of it and worked on the rest with her. I was not involved in anything other than the (hook). Somewhere around the world there's me singing that chorus.
not even trying to be funny. With the die young situation she either lied about writing it, or lied about being forced to sing it. either way she lied
Erm.. she could've written it with the intention of someone else singing it..?? But even K$ said the hook originally had different lyrics.. lets not pretend like we've just popped out of the womb now shall we
after she stated on several interviews that she wrote every single lyric and made sure it was true to her character or w/e

But it's not exactly like we didn't already know K$ is genuine when it comes to writing songs
