Yeah, I know about this. Maybe then wasn't the time yet. Smartphones exploded not very long ago. I think maybe if they pushed it harder and created probably wi-fi enabled USB albums or that used a universal socket fit for normal USB cables for PC, laptops, MP3 players, iPods, iPads, etc so they would be much more accessible and useful. Also, the variable data size of flash memory could allow them to be of much better audio quality within the same audio formats.
Probably work with Samsung, Sony, Apple or some other big tech or music company that made their new MP3/Music players friendly with these albums so an integration would be more easy to get from the public. Probably also to create a technology that made these albums last like forever, because the shelf-life of digital media is around 15+ years. At this point you don't know how much your CD is going to last even if you took well care of it.
Who carries around CDs nowadays anyway?
