With her “schamazeballs” catchphrases and love of pubs, it’s no surprise that Nicole Scherzinger won the hearts of the nation during X Factor last year.

But the singer has given the clearest hint yet that she will not be returning to the show’s judging panel – and is instead considering a Hollywood move after catching the acting bug.

The 34-year-old star tells me: “It’s all up in the air at the moment. I might be shooting a movie in the summer time.

“I want to get back into films. I think that’s what I went to school for.”

Scherzy had a cameo role in last year’s hit film Men In Black III and says the experience has given her a thirst for another Hollywood hit flick.

“To be involved in the right film project is something I definitely want to pursue in the future,” she adds. “I’ve been reading stuff.”

Casting even more doubt on her place on this year’s ITV show, Nicole – who’s new single Boomerang is out now – reveals that she’s still making music her No1 priority.

She is adamant she will not sacrifice her album plans for the sake of the X Factor.

She says: “It’s hard because when I do something, it’s 110%. I set my music aside for the show, and I want to make sure I get my music right first.

"I want to be able to do that. I feel the most at home on stage.”

However, Nicole – who’s engaged to F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton – might be swayed to come back by her two favourite British things: Asda and her local boozer in London.

She adds: “I go back to visit Asda every time I’m here. And when I’m away, I can’t wait for my next trip to the pub.”

He's from US... They don't have a single solo album from Nicole out...

I wanted Nicole back on X Factor cause she could have used that exposure to promote and MILK the **** out of her album, then again she was on last year and did nothing.

Even if I'm not a fan of her, she kinda deserves success...
