People voting Pink, just take a look at some of her singles:
Most Girls
Lady Marmalade
Get The Party Started
Family Portrait
Feel Good Time
Trouble
God Is A DJ
Stupid Girls
Who Knew
Dear Mr President
So What
Sober
Funhouse
****in' Perfect
Just Give Me A Reason
Not even one of these songs sound like the other, there is more diversity in TTAL bonus tracks than all your fave's discographies combined:
Is This Thing On: Pop-rock Pink, the one people are usually familiar with from singles
Run: Mariah-like lullaby ballad
Good Old Days: Folk/country-pop
Chaos&Piss: Adelesque lyrical brilliance
Timebomb: Electro/Dance Pop at its finest
Dated music? When The Fame came out it did not sound like antything that was on the radio . Thats why the radio didn't even want to play Just Dance . And The Fame Monster? Did it sound like aything from 2009? Bad Romance? Really? Lets not.
It's called an opinion. I think TODAY her music sounds dated, most of her songs are the same thing. And i'm not the only one who thinks that.
Katy Perry receives a lot of hate but she can do a lot of different things like dance songs, ballads, rock, i mean... Listen to Thinking Of You, Not Like The Movies, Circle The Drain, One Of The Boys, Mannequin, Lost, If You Can Afford Me, Ur So Gay. She can do so many different styles.
Lady Gaga is dance, electropop music 95% of the time.

And Gaga can't do ballads and rock? Have you ever heard Brown Eyes, Teeth, So Happy I Could Die, Speechless, You and I? And no Gaga's songs are not the same. There is nothing similar between the production of The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way. They all sound different. Call me when katy perry records something like the perfection Heavy Metal Lover

TODAY Gaga doesn't have music out. And if you listen to her album it's anything but generic and backwards for the industry, sorry. Remember when she released a rock ballad (Yoü and I) and it cracked the top 10? IMO that's nothing but forward.
Those Teenage Dream songs you listed are nothing interesting or new, both are holding back from moving forward. I know Katy has potential to innovate but not with Teenage Dream.
Pink, Gaga and Rihanna are probably the biggest innovators so NOT them winning
Gaga and Rihanna, maybe. But if you put Kelly Clarkson, P!NK, and Avril Levign songs in a blender and put them all in a playlist it'd sound like the same album. P!NK is boring. Talented, great singer, but she's very very boring.
at people voting for P!nk cause they pressed. She must have this unheard superpower to hold an ENTIRE industry back then.
People saying she's made the same album for the 21398237th are obviously delusional and haven't listened/payed attention to her latest records.
I own all of P!NK's albums and I really like her, but I'm Not Dead, Funhouse and Truth About Love are all relatively the same album re-written and re-produced.
Pink has never evolved but it works
Katy Perry follows trends but she is pure pop so that's ok (she could prove wrong wit the next era tho)
Lady Gaga did whatever she wanted in BTW and didn't pay off. When you are a pop star you can't ignore what the people like.
Rihanna follows trends but she does it before everyone elses that's the only reason she is so big
Beyonce just makes good music she likes but she doesn't innovates that much (from the singles only single ladies and run the world were innovative at their time and RTW flopped)
Ke$ha follows trends that why she is flopping now
Britney Spears follows trends but she has one or two songs in every album that sound new

I totally agree. Lady Gaga's singles are:
Electropop
Just Dance
Poker Face
LoveGame
Paparazzie
Bad Romance
Telephone
Alejandro
Born This Way
Judas
The Edge of Glory
Marry the Night
Non-electropop
You and I
Her fans say she can do jazz and ballads and rock? Yeah, she probably can, but the general public don't know this. She needs to switch it up. No more dance songs for a while please.

How does one follow a trend if that person does it before everyone else?
Maybe he means she/her label recognize trends first and then jump on them the fastest.
But personally, when I listen to most Rihanna albums, there's usually lots of different styles of music on each one, so I think she's prepared for whatever type of music gets popular.
Like on Unapologetic, she has a dance song, a piano ballad, some hip hop songs, a trap song, an R&B ballad, an acoustic song, and so on. So whatever type of music might make a comeback during 2013 she'll have something to release.
