One thing lacking from ATRL is an area to discuss past movies and i was hoping to kick it off by finding out views from the largely maligned movie "The Dark Knight Rises". While it's one of my personal favourites from the last few years, it seems that it will almost invariably have a negative depiction after the shootings.

What are your views on the film, and did you enjoy it? Was the media correct in how they portrayed the film, which affected it's status in awards season?

It was impeccable, intelligent, well written and directed, and it ***** all over TDK and any other movie of the genre.

It did feel like 2 films merged into 1. I felt that JGL basically carried the film and i enjoyed his scenes over Christian Bale's. I actually wanted him to die (even though he did but still)

Oh i don't want to downplay their contributions but i felt JGL commanded more of a presence when he appeared. Bane was magnificent. Tom Hardy has always been one of my fave actors (he's brilliant in "The Take") and the voice was so eerie yet captivating. Anne deserved a bit more screentime and we didn't get to really see her develop.
