Some of my favorite bands are Muse, The Beatles, Nirvana, AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age,Girls Aloud, Florence + The Machine, No Doubt, etc. I could go on all day.
I stan for Linkin Park since I was 11 When I was younger pretty much all I listened to was bands (and Britney Spears ) so it would be a lot for me to list but the ones with the most plays on my last.fm include:

Also people need to learn the difference between groups and bands. Bands play instruments in all their songs/live performances and groups just sing (and occasionally play instruments but not a majority of the time). So boy bands and girl groups don't count as bands. (unless they do play instruments all the time which most don't).
