As one who could be considered nerdy,I hate when some annoying 15 year old white girl puts on a pair of cosmetic glasses and calls themselves a nerd XD. Its not that someone has to spend $500 dollars on comic books to be a nerd, but wearing fake glasses does not make anyone a nerd. So,what is your general thoughts on these fake nerds

I hate people who now think its 'cool' to be labelled a nerd or geek its like you put on some fake ass glasses and all of a sudden your a ''nerd' okay live my high school life and see how cool that was

Funny how it's usually women who get their "nerd" bonafides questioned . I have yet to see anyone call a man a "***** who found glasses." Coincidence? I think not. Whenever this topic comes up, it's always about women who cosplay in sexy outfits and "have the nerve" to get upset when they're harassed at (comic) cons or dudes picking on women for taking silly pictures with glasses, game controllers, or anything remotely resembling anything affiliated with "geek" culture.
I sometimes wear a t-shirt that says "DORK" on it... I'm not a geek/dork etc but I just thought the t-shirt looked cool... I don't know why y'all get so worked up over it tbh

lmao that nerd trend is becoming pretty big here in the UK and it's so awkward. proper buff guys and twig-thin girls walking round with shirts that say "I'M A DORK" and stuff like that. you look at the and think "right. in high school you would've been the type of person who would bully or make jokes about actual nerds."
