The album will be released in the 4th Quarter, it's obvious at this point. I do hope she pulls a "Love The Way You Lie" / "Only Girl (In The World", though.

Hmm...she could still release 2 singles before the album like she did with Teenage Dream.

1st single in June, 2nd single in September and album out early October if that's the case.

Then it would be a "We Found Love" / "You Da One" situation a NO ONE wants that. Also, she doesn't need to bring back her name like she did with TD, she's a radio staple now.

If yall don't want collabs, maybe a song for a movie/perfume/sims/popchips/whatever she wants to do during summer would be really great

She's not Rihanna, she's not gonna release a song while the other song is still climing the charts + WFL was released in September and YDO went to radio like a month after. The timing with California Gurls and Teenage Dream was perfect!!!!! 2 months and half apart. I just want new Katy music and the more singles we get the better :heart:

You're right, she doesn't need to bring back her name like she did with Teenage Dream but it's the safest bet for 2 #1 debuts. Songs are harder to go #1 when the album is already out. If she releases 2 singles, people are gonna buy, stream and watch the **** out of on youtube to guarantee those #1's on the Hot 100 and I'm gonna just speak for myself but I want Katy to keep collecting those #1's effortlessly

The longevity

I really wouldn't mind a collab, but it'd have to be one for pretty soon since I don't want it to interfere with the lead single campaign. That said, I'm optimistic we're getting this album during summer. Katy loves being the queen of summer and I doubt she'll let a summer pass by without branding it with one of her songs for the first time since she broke out.

Also, I hope they release the album after the first single and not after the second single like with Teenage Dream. I don't think introducing two singles from an unreleased album helps debut week sales at all unless the first single is an absolute mess, I really think Teenage Dream could've opened with more had they released it on Cali Gurls' peak instead of waiting till the end of August.

Still getting that recurrent AirPlay almost 2.5 years later

lt has been 3 years (...and 3 days) since we got the first review of Dressin' Up, and of the Teenage Dream album in general. Still can't believe we had to wait 2 whole years after this review to hear the final song when it was the first track she was showing off from the album. Time has flown by so quickly. I feel so old.

Last year, she said she was going into the studio in November to work on unexpected collaborations. We must be getting at least one of those soon.
