Good luck to whoever's taking it! Not to brag but I did very well last year, my main tip is to NOT skip too many questions. A lot of people get caught up in the whole "you dont get points off for not answering!" But you can almost always eliminate at least 2 of the choices for each questions with a little thinking first. That gives you a pretty good shot at getting the question right and gaining 1 point towards your raw score. Every question skipped is a lost opportunity for points!
I'm not taking the SAT unless a college requires it, as my state mandates that we take the ACT.
I'm sure I'd do well on both, though, I've always been a great test taker - top percentile in the nation on most occasions, except my first practice ACT when I was only 97th percentile.I took the PSAT and all I remember is that I had a 216 "Selection index" for National Merit Scholar crap, I don't remember score or anything. I feel that the ACT is a little easier.
From what I could gather, more mathematical minds are better suited for the ACT.
