Youtube view makes it harder for 1D/Bieber to get Hot100 #1
It might sound counter intuitive but is the addition of Youtube views into Hot 100 makes it HARDER for the like of One Direction and Bieber to get #1 on Hot 100?
For instance, these 3 songs benefited more from Youtube than One Direction song.....
2. Thrift Shop - 9.5 mil
3. Started From the Bottom - 7.3 mil
4. Love Me - 6.2 million 5. 1D "One Way Or Another" - 5.1 million
Which mean that One Direction/Bieber song will need more sales/airplay to make up the Youtube gap....
(unless the challenger for #1 that week has weaker Billboard streaming).

this.
I still think Bieber and 1D would get #1s under normal conditions. Thrift Shop is just massive (high sales, high airplay, high streaming). we haven't seen that since WAY/STIUTK/CMM last year. after that, the charts kinda cooled down a bit.
