Depends on what kind of southern accent. Some of them are cute and sweet. I love my fave Kelly Clarkson's Texan accent. However, Paula Dean and Larry the Cable guy's southern accents are horrid.

I used to have a weak spot for them, but I don't feel either way about them anymore. I live in KY so I hear them a lot. My mother's side of my family pretty much all have southern accents

I'm southern but a lot of people say I don't have an accent which is weird because I've lived in NC my entire life, in any case I hate southerners who say "gat". It annoys me to no end when that's used in place of "like that'...just enunciate! Other than that, Southern accents >
