On topic, i think the picture uses stereotypes, so it's somewhat racist. I think it's kinda funny
I doubt anybody would be actually offended by it though

um what
are you saying I can't afford diet cokes or coffees? and Uggs are almost as bad as Crocs
You can't be racist towards white people
Racism implies prejudice+power and white people are the majority (with the power) in most of the world. So yeah, racism towards white people is an invalid concept
You're right but alot of people don't understand the full definition of racism so I can see why people are offended by this statement. Oh well. lol

I noticed the people at my school who are anti popular labels usually wear baggy ketchup-stained sweatshirts and sneakers from places like Walmart...

Racism is a belief, you don't need to have power to have an opinion.

how so? could you elaborate?
One of my friends (white) used to go to a school in Mississippi. Practically 95% of the students were black, and he was usually singled out and harassed by his classmates for being a "cracker". Is that not racism?
no such thing as reverse racism
basic elementary knowledge
/endthread
Of course it doesn't exist. Why? Because rasism towards white people has the same name as racism towards other race's. It's just called racism, there is nothing reverse about it

What would be, are Juicy Couture tracksuits and bronze tanning cream
Do you even know what a stereotype is? I agree it isn't racist but with your logic all black people like watermelon.

That is completely racism. People who say that you can't be racist to white people/sexist to men like to use the argument that to be racist or sexist you need prejudice + power, when really not the least bit power is needed at all.
Why is it that when the picture with a watermelon was posted, it was racist, but because this is a false stereotype about white girls, it's not racist
Because none of the images in the picture communicate a racist stereotype about white girls nor do either of them have the malicious baggage of racist history attached to them. This isn't hard.
Its an internet stereotype or "meme" that white girls in America typically drink Starbucks, overly enjoy Nutella, and wear Ugg boots and sweat pants. Like all stereotypes its a partial truth.
It doesn't indicate any form of prejudice or racism.
