If I liked him enough and he was responsible with his medication etc. then yeah I'd give it a shot. I'd like to think that if I were ever unlucky enough to be in that situation others would offer me the same courtesy.

Um it is 100% someone's own decision if they want to put themselves in that kind of relationship just like it would be with any other factor... if they are 'ignorant' then not doing so is probably be the safest possible option for them.

I think it would depend whether I knew from the get-go or he was diagnosed during our relationship, because it would throw up a pretty big hurdle at the start that I just don't think I could get over...but if I loved him and we were committed, things would be different.

The prospect does scare me. Not just because of the constant risk for me, but because of his health and the likely rough road ahead. It's quite daunting really. It'd be similar with any serious illness, but with cancer and what not...you're not able to be infected.

That's a pretty massive hurdle to undertake, and you would have to love them above everything else to not consider it a dealbreaker (if they got infected during the course of a relationship and it's not because they were being unfaithful, then of course I'd stand by them). I don't think I would.
