Uhm. Loud, which came right after Rated R, is her second best selling album WW behind GGGB. It sold 6m copies+. So I don't know what you are talking about.
I don't even know what this Thread is all about. Some people on this Forum are way too bored. But maybe that's the usual stuff going on.
But to answer the Thread's question. It depends no? Are we talking just about the USA or WW? For an example, Beyonce is a dead horse in Germany (Along with the 4 era), while Rihanna is approaching Platinum with Unapologetic and Stay just reached number 2 on the single charts last week. Diamonds was everywhere here. You couldn't escape it. Obviously the biggest international star here (Yeah I won't count in Adele).
Also, did you forget GGGB somehow? It sold 2,8m copies in the States. It was a perfect handled era and just an epic jump for her into a WW megastar status. I mean people in the UK were annoyed by Umbrella, because it was raining there nonstop when it was smashing for 10 weeks. Talk about impact
