Basically Demi's never experienced so much success before. With Skyscraper she managed to get a top 10 hit but the hype for the song died soon and it fell of the charts quickly but managed to finally go platinum. Give Your Heart A Break was a sleeper hit and she finally started getting radio support, but the song digitally underperformed a bit with the amount of airplay it had and peaked #16 on BB Hot 100.
However with Heart Attack she's expected to debut with her biggest opening sales yet. After it's release it went #1 on 15 countires and is still in the top 10 of most. Not to mention it's already getting amazing updates on radio.

So what is the reason behind this unexpected slayage in your opinion?

It's fresh and actually a quality song, it doesn't sound like it was sung by a Disney star.

Because its the first time she's had a radio-friendly single as a lead that got sent to radio, and after GYHAB smashed. HWR also are 100% better now that they have this new promo team & I'm hoping they keep it up for the rest of the era

Because Demi has gained a loyal fanbase. People look up to her after knowing how she overcame her demons and rose above it all.

No idea because it really does sound generic as ****. She has better songs.

& it hasn't been sent for radio adds yet & was released a week early with no promo, so it's doing great considering the circumstances

Pretty sure it won't even make it into the Top 10 next week, so I don't see the smashing yet

If it wasn't for the new rules Top 10 was pretty much 100% garaunteed though. It could still debut top 10 but if it doesn't I could see it going top 10 easily in the coming weeks.
