Orangenial Music
has some cruel intentions
Mandy Moore - Umbrella (song only)
Source: ATRL, actually
- I actually do not find this boring but I am not sure if I like that she covered it. She made it more gentle than Scott Simons but at the same time, it seemed like he personalized it more? Or maybe it was just the fact that it was a male voice covering it? Either way, I do think this should be checked out because I have always liked Mandy Moore.
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony (video)
Source: HFS (back when it was still alive) and a friend
- If you saw my post in Vessel's blog (Chris), you would know that this is one of my all-time favorite songs. Well, when looking at posts from people who are going through a similar transition, they seemed to be mentioning this. As I looked more into the song, I realized this was a pretty good time to mention the song. I have always enjoy the musical melody of the song, as well as the lyrics, but for some reason it really seems to suit right now.
Six songs that I feel like mentioning (in addition to the previous songs):
There is something about these songs... darn them.Jordan Knight - Give It To You
Album: Jordan Knight | Year: 1999
- This is such a catchy song. Did you know Robin Thicke was part of this song?
Madonna - Like A Prayer
Album: Like a Prayer | Year: 1989
- I love how most of the romantic comedies I have seen have had this classic song somewhere.
Nada Surf - Always Love
Album: The Weight is a Gift | Year: 2005
- Hot I Met Your Mother's recent rerun had this playing during the sweetest moment.
Paula DeAnda - Easy
Album: Paula DeAnda | Year: 2006
- Blame Randy for making me listen to this and getting it stuck in my head. I even sang it, or attempted to. Emo tear.
The Rakes - Open Book
Album: Capture/Release | Year: 2005
- This is such a good fun song! I do not know why exactly but I enjoy it!
Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life
Album: Third Eye Blind | Year: 1997
- I will always remember my Sonic/Wawa/Chick-fil-A/Brusters drive after listening to this song. Aw.
So it all comes down to this weekend, sort of. Some things will probably never happen, or just happen later (I am not sure if that is a good thing) I am glad I will get over some things in these last few four months. Oy. May everyone have a great weekend!
