Uh, Bleeding Love was successful way before Oprah. The song itself was a masterpiece, that's the reason why it reached #1. I remember during her Bleeding Love era she promoted hard core - she was on Oprah, American Idol, Good Morning America, Live with Regis, Ellen, Jimmy, etc.
The Echo era didn't have much promotion. She had very few promotion, but the promotion she had were "big" promotion. Example her track "My Hands" was the theme song for Final Fantasy, and she got to record the track for the two billion dollar blockbuster hit, "Avatar".

Tbh, sometimes I wish Leona would make a more experimental sound, like Florence. Somehow, I see similarities between Ceremonials and Echo.
