I think it works both ways.

While it says a lot when overly attached fans get pressed and defensive in regards to the artists they stan for, I think there's something to say about those who intentionally press other people's buttons to try and get a rise out of them. While the former is immature, the latter is a bit sociopathic.

I don't know, I just don't think it's ever that serious. I'd never give someone who I don't know the satisfaction of getting riled up because he/she shaded or dragged my fave. That's just me though.

Then there's the other side....

I often wonder why people go to such lengths to try to throw shade - "try" because a lot of the mess that's said comes straight from a time capsule - at artists they supposedly don't care for. I mean, some people do stupid **** such as using an avatar with an artist they claim to hate. The picture is usually what they'd consider to be unflattering. Then there are the ones who dedicate their signature to an artist they claim to hate. There are also the ones who steal the front seats in every thread about an artist they claim to hate. It seems to be more than trolling, especially since a lot of the ones doing it get so serious about it.

I ignore threads that have the potential to become messy, but when a member's avatar, custom title, and signature are dedicated to an artist they don't like, it becomes impossible to ignore.

I don't get heated over someone talking negative about my faves..especially being on BH, I've grown a tolerance of putting up with back-to-back, 24/7 Beyonce threads bashing her.

The only thing that is annoying to look at is monster's irrational thinking and hypocrisy of Madonna and her fans..other than that i'm chill

Some people are just born that way, some just lack the confidence to not be pressed, and others just get off on being mad 24/7 they can't help it.

Lol. I wasn't even sure that I was the first to be rocking the avi (and still am not), but I like it a lot so will probably keep it for a while.

And yeah, I don't get heated either. It's funny. The only time I respond is if it's the real world and I see a chance to educate, but never to be offended or try to take a low blow. I actually don't hate any artists, there are just some I prefer over others, and if I don't use them... I don't use them.

In my personal case, I really dislike when someone is purposefully ignorant or arrogant, or generalizes in a negative manner. I especially dislike this when someone attempts to belittle me just because of the pop girl I like the most.

Coincidentally, nobody asked who was the most frequent reporting stanbase and this is exactly what I was talking about above. However, your stale and sometimes pathetic attempts at shading and dragging the Monsters and their fave are at this point more tiring and almost sad, rather than "pressing".
