All the Katy Perry news for her next 3-rd Album
In a recent interview with The New Yorker which discussed how songs were created, Ester Dean (Firework, Peacock) revealed;
Friday, the final day of sessions, was quiet. Dean came in, later than usual, to add bridges and some extra verses to the songs they had worked on. While waiting for her, Hermansen reviewed their output for the week. Besides “How You Love It,” there was a fiery up-tempo number called “Edge.” (Dean had also claimed this one for herself, on Wednesday, when they wrote it, but by Friday the song was being referred to as “the Katy Perry song.”) There was also a promising R. & B. song they had composed on Thursday, although the hook wasn’t strong enough yet.

Now, this doesn't mean that Katy's gonna have a song on her album that she hasn't written, and there's probably a massive chance Edge wont be on her next album (Although Katy has said she wouldn't refuse a song written by someone else if it spoke to her) BUT it does indicate that Capitol have sent word out to producers that Katy is starting work on Album 3, which is quite exciting.
If she has already started, that rumoured December release date wouldn't actually be that much of a stretch... Teenage Dream took about 7 Months (October ~ April), and assuming she started working at the start of this month she could be done, on a similar timescale, by October... Hmm..
