In an industry full of electronic dance songs, it was original.

Meanwhile Rihanna was working (I use this very lightly) on her seventh album in just as many years. I use working lightly because Rihanna's involvement in an album is coming in, singing, and leaving.

Whether you like Beyonce or not, 4 WAS original for the type of sound it was trying to convey compared to the current trends.

How the hell does Rihanna re-invent herself every era? Just because she changes her weave every 5 seconds? ;lmao; that's not creativity.

There is nothing original about Rihanna. At least Beyonce is extremely talented and can be creative within her craft (ie her vocals)

Rihanna is more "Original" visually because she has to rely on that to keep her in the public eye.

Beyonce however is more Original Sonically, because she actually has an input into her music. She doesn't just record a bunch of demos while sitting down on tour before bed and then release them out to the public 2 weeks later.
