ARTPOP cover?
In one of most important book and music italian store, it's shown this placard that would say MAY is the release month!
Fake? Hard, 'cause "Mondadori" is one of major chain stores in Italy with 100% of credibility and reliability!
If it isn't the official cover, is however a new era image!

I don't think it's the album cover, or a shot from the new era.
It's probably just an old picture to reserve the space as opposed to just having a blank square. It's not uncommon.
It doesn't look awful. A similar idea could work well.
I love the font underneath the image, though.
