French electro indie group Phoenix have revealed the title of a forthcoming new album, which looks like it will be set for release in April. Their 2009 breakout Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix has become an indie cult classic, and the follow-up has been long anticipated.
The band updated their website with a seizure-inducing video, which should probably contain a warning for anybody who suffers from epilepsy. If you can endure the video for longer than a few seconds, you’ll find out that the album has been given the title Bankrupt!. The site also has a snippet of synth, which could be from a new track on the album.
The band also recently returned to the live scene, announcing appearances in Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals in Germany. No doubt they’ll be on the list of potential Australian festival lineups throughout most of this year.
