I used like Katy during her Katy Hudson days and her time with the Relient K frontman and the Matrix, though.

Can't sing live, her music is mediocre and she has no stage presence. Plus average looking with annoying personality.

I love her music and I know she does have talent. I just want her to push herself a little harder in terms of lyrical depth and her overall vision as an artist. Her vocals need a little work too, specifically when she's putting on grand-scale performances.

9. I stan for her for a reason. Her music alone makes me rank her this high. She's barely good at dancing now compared to back then but it's not her fault - the injury, the nervousness / lack of trust with a crowd after the breakdown etc. She doesn't have much creative input but again, not her fault - her label dropped her album "Original Doll" before release and they rarely let her write anything even after multiple fights with the label including pushing for "Toxic" as a single. She wrote for FF but they didn't make it. There's a lot that people don't know about her which is why I feel the need to be so defensive. SHE IS JUST SO HARMLESS, SWEET AND INNOCENT. She lip-syncs and she can change that but I could care less because I haven't ever seen her live. People choose to see that, it's their problem and idk why people act like it's the end of the world. As a stan, I KNOW she can sing and I really do like her voice but she's really shaky live which is a flaw in itself but oh well, as long as the music is good enough, I'm settled and I will always love her just because she's always been true to herself.

In her prime she was a good dancer, performer and singer but now she completely lacks in all three. Her music was really good up until Blackout but now it has just become the definition of generic. I like her and all but she really lost that IT factor that made her a huge star.

she can dance write play piano sing and she is a better performer than a lot of new girls !!! and was the best performer of our generation and her music is amazing

She was never a good singer. She used to be a pretty good dancer and performer, but now she can't do either of those well either. Britney has shown that she can make great music when she seems into it (see In The Zone) but other than that album, Blackout, and a few singles, her music is pretty generic. It's sad, she doesn't even seem like she wants to be a pop star anymore. She seems like a nice person, although that doesn't really have anything to do with an artist rate.
