They have lots of streaming on Youtube which is why they've climbed so much. And now Youtube makes up most of the streaming component on the Hot 100, so the fact that they aren't on Spotify, etc. doesn't matter so much now.

Friday would not have hit #1 - you people need to quit. Harlem had massive digital sales this week too. It didn't go number one solely based on the Youtube views.

You raise an interesting point though. Will artists take fewer risks with controversial subject matter to possibly avoid being blocked on Vevo or will they just release multiple versions of their videos?

With factoring streaming and now youtube views into BB chart, the songs are now much more easy to debut inside top 10. Especially the youtube views are front-loaded.

Hmm, okay. The only thing I would change would be some sort of restriction on the length of the videos. I think nothing under a minute should count, just how albums marked below a certain price don't count towards BB 200 sales.

A lot of people use YT to listen to music (through lyric videos, etc.) so this really is a welcome addition. I just think it should have a few more rules so artists and labels can't exploit it so easily.
