Video Games: PS VITA: No price drop for other regions

"When you compare the pricing of PS Vita across regions because of the value of the Yen, in Japan the system has been priced the highest," Yoshida said. "We have been selling the PS Vita for 25,000 Yen — that's more than $250 when you compare the exchange rate. It's a region-by-region based decision, always."

Yoshida along with other PlayStation representatives went on to say that the company also has no plans to cut the cost of the PS Vita's memory cards, which have been criticized for their exorbitantly high cost to capacity ratio compared to other mediums. The cheapest variant, the 4GB version, costs $19.99 in the U.S., while the maximum capacity 32GB model has an MSRP of $99.

They probably planned to talk about all of the consoles at the event on the 20th but decided to only focus on the PS4, and thus make the Vita have it's own event. Looks good!

But if they want to push their games they should release all Ps 2 games in HD, cause nothing compares to that generation games
