It's becoming more and more likely that the Playstation 4 and Xbox 720 will be available this holiday season, or next year for sure, giving us gamers just enough time to start saving. So will you be buying them when they hit the market, or will you wait for the evident price drops after a while of being on sale?

I think I will wait a couple months but I will eventually get both.

Maybe in a few years. But probably xbox 720 will be better than ps4.

I wanna get a TV for my room and a new console will be.

Haven't looked into the PS4 but is it gonna be backwards compatible? I ain't about to drop my current game library for a new one.

I'll need to know more about any games that'll be available when those systems are released, but if I do decided to buckle down and drop the ridiculous opening prices for a new system on holiday season (which I know ill be reduced within 6 months or some foolishness), it'll be the PS4 - even if it's apparently not backwards compatible.

It is all dependent on whether or not the rumors about both systems being unable to support used games is true or not. If so, then I won't be purchasing. Paying full price for games is too much for the struggling college student that I am, I can't afford to dish out $60 for games I want. Even if the price drops it is still in the upper 30s which is still a lot.

Still debating between those two but I'm leaning more towards the 720.

This is me as well. I was a hardcore gamer as a kid but now at 25 I don't keep up like that. I still play my ps3 and buy games that interest me but i'm not hardcore with it anymore. I'll probably end up buying the ps4 though.

For now, I intend to buy a PS4 at launch.

I grew up with PlayStation, and while I bought a PS3, I didn't play it as much as I would have liked. Hopefully that will change. Based on the specs leaked so far, it seems like the PS4 will be the superior console, which is pretty exciting.

I did think about buying the next Xbox at one point, but if the rumors flowing around are true, the console will require a permanent online connection to function and won't allow to play second hand games, and that is not good imo. We'll see how that turns out.

Wth buys a console at launch it wil have bugs etc and all the good games will still be in developement .
Ill wait a year if not longer till naughty dog or the studio of god of a war or the dutch boys behind killzone release something.

I hardly have the time to play the 360. Maybe in a few years when I graduate and have some money I'll consider buying one of the two.

Watch Dogs is going to be one of the most critically acclaimed games this next gen of consoles will receive, guarantee it.

I'll probably buy 2 or 3 PS4's, one for myself and the rest for eBay.

OMG what?!?!? How will it know though? Like is the saved data going to be encrypted onto it or something. If this is the case, I'm not going for it at all. I've bought maybe 8 new games in the last 3 years.

I'll be buying the PS4, but probably not in the first few months.
