Looks like she will have less creative control, which IMO is a good thing. Were best successful era was Spirit and she had a limit amount of input on it.

I really liked Glassheart (the song) so I hope there is more music like it.

I agree. When she has less control, her albums are more successful. I'm torn between the two, though.

Spirit is my favorite album from her, but I think Echo is the "better" album. It's better in terms of quality and maturity, but when you listen to Spirit, it sounds like it's filled with really, really, really good fillers (Angel, Best You Never Had). I'm not a fan of Echo, but I can admit that it is the better album, however, I can't listen to the album from start to finish. Spirit wins it for me.

wow. I know it's your opinion but normally true fans who love their artists never say such statement. "This era sucks because it doesnt sell as well as the previous. She just needs to stop being an independent figure and suck it up and be an obedient dog to mega-producers." what, really??! I am only a casual fan, but do enjoy both Echo and Glassheart. The albums are no where close to having dismal qualities anyway.

And to know that Leona was able to explore and take control of her projects, though they turned out flops, I think it is always the warmest most satisfying thing.

anyway it is totally understandable when fans want their fav artists to smash again, to sell millions again (in my case: Jewel, Garbage and Vanessa Carlton).

but wanting your fav artists to drop their creative desire in favor of selling generic trendy music is just BAD.

It's who they want to send her with. She can have control but they pick the listings of albums not her.

I think Glassheart had phenomenal fillers though The album was done MUCH wrong, IMO.

Thanks for speaking out what I have always thought. I think her label majorly sabotages Glassheart. I think it's pretty obvious that they didn't like the album at first and that's why it got delayed. That might as well be the reason why songs that were previously recorded are now missing.
Leona should however still try to pursue the music she wants to record. Artistic integrity >>>>>>>>>success.
And tbh, I don't like Spirit that much. It mostly consists of fillers and basically only sold on Bleeding Love and Run. I don't want her to go down that road again.

Spirit is my fave by far. Echo is good but the best track (Stone Hearts) got tacked on to a whole nother song (Lost & Found) which I hate when ppl do that because its messy and you don't wanna sit thru 7-9 minutes because you wanna ***** 2 songs joined at the hip. (And still manage to have it iTunes purchased quality)


Anyyyyyway, since her album will be out by year end depending on how they play the singles (it could either be 1 and then the album or do like say... Tulisa and do 3) we should be hearing something by mid-Fall right? Whatever it is I hope it's "classic" Leona and available in the US.

I hope she finds success with this album. She is so talented and very beautiful. It doesn't make sense that she isn't more successful.

I need to listen to Glassheart again. I really hope she releases this next album in the US.
