Nah, the song is good but it gets old too fast.

Speaking on the video... I actually like it. Tho the concept is far better than the execution, and those scenes with the lighter background feel so out of place.

It's not ahead of it's time. It was released in 2010. If it was released in 2007, then yes, I would say it's ahead of it's time, but it was released when the dance era was in full swing. That's WHY it was released, because it was an easy hit. And if you listen to the instrumental of Commander, you'll see the chorus has the same beat as Boom Boom Pow.

Kelly Rowland's most influential hit was Motivation. I've heard so many clones of that song on the radio in the past couple of years. And also, Motivation made Kelly's record label by FAR the most money of all her solo singles so far, which is why they're going down that route I assume.

No. It was released right on time, but it flopped because it's a Kelly Rowland track.

Lmao, Commander is a pretty generic dance song, released in the midst of the trend, and sounds so dated now. Not ahead of it's time at all. The lyrics are so basic too

The song deserved to be even bigger than it was. It probably was a moderate hit because it's very hardcore and not as airy as WLTO.

I still remember my reaction to it was.
