I agree, her sales are off to a very disappointing start, but I think I can understand why. Rihanna's a digital download artist. Her single sales are HUGE, but only her hardcore fans buy her albums. Everyone else just buys the stuff that has a video. Now, if Rihanna actually spent time on promoting her albums instead of jumping to the next thing, and released 5-6 singles from GGGB, she could definitely go multiplatinum.

I knew that Kelly's album was going to flop and so did all of you. DC albums sold thanks to beyonce. I really hope that this album goes at least gold its just too good to be forgotten, I think that it might even be better than both Beyonce's solo albums.

BTW Dignity is the biggest flop of 2007,nobody thought that it was going to flop .

i think both rihanna and kelly promoting as much or if not more than ciara and beyonce. at the end of the day, people just don't want it. there's no explanation. c and b are the only girls in rnb selling records right now because they got a base in the black youth that allows them to not need a huge hit and they will still go platnum at the very least. at the end of the day rihanna is not an artist (her singles were written by people who get all the checks) and kelly will always be that member of dc that isn't the lead. even latoya did better. damn

question is ...why?, why her?...did she came out too late? is she putting out new stuff to often to really get a big fanbase? or is it her questionable abilities (no own writing, bad singing)?

i don´t call GGGB a flop, it´s just doin ok CONSIDERING the hype and umbrella and all...my december is a flop, even stans admit it....since breakaway sold 5,8 millions and established her, my december should have sold like 500k the opening week considering how big she got after breakaway, and released pretty soon after....

Please, GGGB is not a flop. Shes only 2 singles in and shes gold already ... i'm sure by the time Rihanna's done with the album she'll be at like 1.5 million which is really good for today's standards
