Almost every song that I write is a part of my life.



I like to write things that I can connect to personally.
So that one day when I look back at them, they are
like memories .. things that I lived and felt.

I write from a character.

I made this round personal, though.

How did you guys start writing?

That's my story.

I had always been a loner since my childhood. Growing up was no different.
There came a time when I began falling in love with someone, and all was
great until it didn't work. Everything in my life went downhill from there.
Not only Love-wise, but I started having family + school problems.
And still among all these turmoils, I still had no 'best' or good
friends to whom I could share my feelings or experiences.
I felt like I was about to burst, and that was when I
started penning down my emotions on paper.
After writing like crazy - penning down all
my feelings, I felt so much relief. It was
like the paper was lending me an ear.
That's how it all started for me - the
passion for writing.

I've always been more keen of the musical and tonal side of writing than the lyrics, they're usually an afterthought for me.

I love seeing how unorthodox and complex I can get with my chord progressions.

This is actually my first ever attempt at songwriting. I was originally going to do season one but backed out right before the season began because I was too nervous to even attempt. I decided I'd step out of my comfort zone this time around and give it a shot.

Those were horrible, horrible times for me; from physical/mental abuse, to having no kind of stability (financial needs and constantly moving), to being a loner and being bullied at school, to getting kicked out of school and going to partial schools, to being gay, to having two absent parents, my time as a child and teenager were really depressing. I was actually clinically depressed and suffered from social anxiety as well. I just prefer to write about other things...

I'm excited for tomorrow. Someone's going home. That excites me.
