In regard to the television shows offered through Netflix, the episodes aren't new episodes or most recently aired right? I was thinking about getting an account, as well, but from my knowledge it doesn't have the most recent episodes or season for that matter.

No they don't add the episodes as they air if that's what you mean. Like Pretty Little Liars is on season 3 but Netflix only has the first two seasons right now.
when i first got it was mehhh because they didnt have flavor of love, dragonball z and all that good stuff.
but the price of netflix is a good offer when you choose unlimited streaming
