Do you believe that tarots have symbolism and/or can be used to foresee the future?

Yeah my friend does tarot cards and I've gotten a lot of good insight from it

But most of it must be guessing... it's like the guessing game. What interested me most was a book written by Oswald Wirth where he would explain like every tarot has a meaning in the illuminati/masonry/kabbala sect and they represent an initiation experience.

My fave tarot is The Star, which means hope and trust in the destiny after the danger of The Moon

No. I try to be respectful of people's beliefs but I don't understand how people could actually believe and invest in these things. Clearly whenever cards are shuffled, they will be given out at random.

I think that cards like these as well as other "psychic" predictions and horoscopes are arbitrary and vague. Most people can find aspects they can relate to if they look hard enough.

I am very much into astrology, but I don't know much about tarot. It seems very interesting though.

As in any discipline or whatever you wanna call it there are good and bad practitioners, the ones that say ambiguous s*** are frauds, but there are people who can tell you very specific stuff that's gonna happen, happening or happened.

I think the cards deal with our connection to the universe, in the present, there is a lot of stuff happening so if someone knew everything that's happening now, they could predict the future, simple logic, and that's the source we access with the cards, the universe. Also, everything is happening right now at the same moment, it's our brain that makes the illusion of time, which exists of course as in physics but the comprehension of it is not deep. The cards are like a way of letting the universe speak to you in that language.

In other words, the actual Tarot is not speaking to you, but the Universe through it.

I do really like this subject, the meaning of the cards can have like a complete round-up of life. My favourite decks are the classic Tarot of Marseilles, and the one designed by Aleister Crowley. The latter a very original, colorful but kinda dark deck.
