I can't at us thinking we would've had the single in August/September 2012 but in the end getting it in late 2013 or maybe early 2014

Actually depending on the severity of the injury, It can take up to 12 months for recovery.

However, we don't know how bad of a state she is in, but I don't think she's so bad to the point it'll take her that long. Gaga will have the best of the best working on her too. So, it won't be 12 months for her, but 12 months isn't completely an exaggeration for this type of injury.

It's not going to take 12 months, she's not an old person... lol. Someone of her age takes roughly 3 months to be 100% after the surgery, and she will only be on crutches for a few weeks max. It's also on MTV.com

I hope she gets better soon. I feel so sad right now because she has been in pain for so long.

I wonder if this will cause Gaga to rethink the 1st single.

Usually her fist singles are fast paced and choreo-heavy JD/BR/BTW .

Given the nature of her injury will we get maybe get a power ballad/mid-tempo for the first single? Something that she can perform without intensive choreo and can easily adapt into piano performances like TEoG or Y&I?

Depends on a lot of things. Dancers have done this before and been able to get back to a regular routine. On top of that most of her TF/M songs were more focused on arm movements than her legs or moving around. The VMA 2009 performance wasn't particurlarly dance intensive it didn't stop it from being great. As long as her choreographer helps work around her issues.

I'm sure if she's insistent on not delaying the record/betting on a fast recovery, the choreo will just be less intense. More hand movements a la Alejandro era

I just found out that she got injured. What happened? Is the rest of the tour really canceled?

Yeah the tour is cancelled. She tore her hip and we can expect a few months for her to fully heal and be back to normal.

Yes, Katie, they had to cancel the entire remaining dates of the tour. She got synovitis and hide it for a month till she was so painful she can't move her legs after the last show. Initially only Chicago's, Detroit's and Hamilton's dates were postponed so she could have had a week of rest but then the doctors found out she tore her hip so she needs a surgery and some months for the reprise ergo the remaining dates got cancelled.



By the way I find that the fact that the BTW Era lasted exactly 2 years it's quite funny
