It's not laughable at all, UK radio is a mess. I live there and I hardly ever listen to the main radio stations.
Capital are a joke, they literally have the same 5 songs on repeat for weeks, then just switch to another 5 songs. Their variety is awful. I'm not even joking when I say I listened to Capital for a week during my 30 minute drive every day, and I heard no more than 5 songs throughout the week.
Radio 1 are a bit better but is there really any need to tweet an artist just to say "oh hey we aren't playing your song" it just makes them seem so pretentious.
