I guess you haven't studied Mariah enough! That note is lipsynched you can understand it cause she is hiding and opens her mouth differently as she should.... Whoever knows Mariah can understand that this part is lipped. If you try finding a video that prerecorded vocals failed and Mariah steps in I can help you. Check at 3:43 (that shines brightly). You can understand that she realized that the track was not going in and she improvized with her superhuman ability to step in at the right note in time.
Every other performance of this song has that part lipped except this one.

There is... Mariah has been using prerecorded tracks since "Honey" ....Not the whole songs but the hard and high parts. If you deny this then you are really not a fan...

Sis, I've watched every live performance there is of Mariah. That end note is LIVE. It was recent too from her Australian concert.

Normally for DFAU performance @3:00 it should be a pre recorded belt then the long note but this time it failed so it force her to sing that part live then continue on the long note till about the almost the end the pre recorded track kicks back in.

And the long note of DFAU actually consist of two long notes layer right next to each other. She did the first big long not completely live this time.
