I used a site called JobRapido, it sent emails directly to me daily notifying me how many new part time & full time jobs were available in my area (Northern Ireland) not sure if it would be available where you are situated; but you can always give it a try.
Good luck, and I hope you find a job soon!
We have Jobrapido available here and I will use it. Thanks for the tips! Much appreciated. And thanks for the luck!
Blah, I just graduated in December with my degree in Finance and I haven't been able to get even a minimum wage job. I knew it would be difficult getting a "real" job, but I didn't think it would be this hard to get a minimum wage one.
Looking back, there are some things I would differently. I was too focused on finishing in exactly four years (which I did). Get more involved. Being able to put leadership roles on your resume is a big plus. The biggest tip is to get an internship or any type of job anyway related to the field you're interested in. It's hard to get hired without any experience, they really don't want to take a risk. Lastly, as was said earlier, networking is key. Whether it's through working in various organizations during college, former employers and former professors.
You have to be persistent. Show that you're serious and am willing to but 110% forward. Don't get discouraged and give up. Like I said, really try to get an internship or something of some sort. The biggest thing I've learned is jobs require experience and experience require jobs.
Just apply, A LOT haha. If you get an interview, seem personable. People don't want to hire someone they can't hold a conversation with, even with having all of the qualifications. Other than that, just basically apply to every job you can.
just don't get discouraged... it may take a long time and you may have to thourgh tens of interviews before someone hires you. Just think that for every position they are looking for the best fit so the competition is high, and refusals are the norm
Apply and submit your resume to the manager or boss, look presentable, be persistent, and prove to them you're worth it. Show them you are knowledgeable about the company and what they do, and be friendly
Thanks guys for the advices! I called some companies today and asked if they need people, some of them said yes and I sent my resume and CV(that I have really worked on so hard). Pray for me, lol!
