Maybe it's just me, but Gaga's hyping just seems different this time. It feels like it is going to pay off. She just seems to be in the zone and knows what we want and wants to deliver. I'm just so excited.

Call my hyping it all up, but I really think ARTPOP could just be the album we all were expecting and hoping Born This Way was gonna be i.e. that defining album a la Thriller or Like A Prayer.

She's a happier writer now, she knows what went wrong with BTW, she's got some amazing producers for this album, she's dressing MUCH better (I looked back at some BTW era clothes, and now I realise why my friends and parents hated her), she's been on a break (with BTW, she was writing while on tour, at least with this one she's had loads of time off to get the core ideas down, and hopefully make some great music), and this expected summer release really excites me.

The fact that she's going on a further break after the tour finishes also adds to my optimism. She KNOWS this is her 'defining' album, she KNOWS it's gonna be huge, and she KNOWS she needs to really bring it in terms of promotion and performances, and make this a really great, fun and successful era.

Sorry, I'm hyping myself up, but (to go off topic a bit) I said the same thing about Skyfall, for sort of similar reasons, when everyone else thought it was gonna be as bad as Quantum of Solance, and look how that turned out.

I know exactly what you mean and I feel the same way. Not that she didn't deliver with 'Born This Way' because she did but I feel like the ARTPOP era will exceed our expectations.

Yeah, I hate/love this break. It gives her time to make even better music as well as time to rest and properly promote. She was overworked during the btw era. Just a week ago she wrote sex dreams which she thought was really catchy and she has madeon and zedd with her on tour producing.

The grammys this year felt like 07/08 to me. I actually really enjoyed most of the performances but its time for gaga to shake things up like during tf/m era.

So much truth. And to be honest, she has no excuse and/or reason not to slay this era. She has nothing holding her back.
