It's a really popular app that is like the video version of Instagram, but the videos are 6 second loops so they're basically gifs. It's iOS only right now. I have it but can't get into it, what's so great about it? It's gonna turn into Tumblr where there's xxx stuff up there.

I tried to get into it but its basically like instagram and tumblr and sadly they both do it better so

Well, we can call it "like instagram and tumblr" but it's not. It is for video, and allows a pretty seamless way of creating the videos, and allows for very simple stop motion and cut-scene video recording. If instagram were to integrate that feature that'd be great, but for now Vine stands alone. I haven't used it much, but I have seen much of its potential while browsing the creations of others. I wouldn't dare try to discredit it by dropping instagram and tumblr's names, as they are completely separate services with different features.
