YOU wouldn’t expect Adele to follow Britney Spears’ career path.
But I’m told the BRIT and Grammy winner is considering a multi-million pound stint in Vegas like Britters.
Vegas bigwigs are desperate to persuade the global phenomenon to sign up for a hotel residency.
And it seems the London lass favours a short stretch in Sin City rather than hitting the road on a world tour.
I’m told Adele has been discussing her options with Elton John who is helping the Rolling In The Deep singer battle stage fright ahead of her Oscar’s comeback performance.
My LA source said: “Adele is top of the Vegas hit-list and she’s seriously considering it as an option.
“She wants to get back to performing but doesn’t want to go on the road so soon after becoming a mum. “A Vegas residency would mean she could settle with her family and record her third album all at once.
“She’s been asking for advice from Elton, who has spent years performing at Caesars Palace.”
Adele is in LA preparing for her big live comeback performance at this month’s Academy Awards, where she will perform her nominated song Skyfall.
The nervy star has seen a therapist to help her overcome crippling stage fright.
She’s also having singing lessons after hiring her old vocal coach to make sure her voice is in tip-top condition following surgery in 2011.
My source said: “Adele has been chatting to Elton about her fears of singing live again.
“Elton’s been like a godfather to her recently, helping her settle into life as a superstar and the challenges of being a parent.
“He eased her mind about returning to the stage, the significance of the Oscars and how she should return to playing live as she has such a great gift.”
This is interesting, I wonder if it will happen while Britney is there too.
I would love to see how their show attendance/gross compare. In recent years, Britney has become known for not singing live, but for putting on a very visually appealing show, with choreography and lots of impressive visuals on stage. Meanwhile, Adele is known for having incredible live vocals, but without a lot of the visual pizazz that you would get with a Britney show. It would be interesting to see which the GP is more here for.
I wonder what the pressed are gonna say about Britney now that Adele wants to do it.
Clearly Britney is doing it too because she is lazy and doesn't wanna go all over the world.
Instead they both want a no-hassle residency.
