The official pronouncement won’t come until Tuesday, but our sources at Plano-based Frito-Lay say they are ready to name the three finalists in the company’s Lay’s Do Us A Flavor contest.
Between July and October, consumers were invited submit ideas for a future flavor of Lay’s, the nation’s best selling potato chip.
The three finalists, which will be sold nationwide, are Cheesy Garlic Bread, Chicken & Waffles and Sriracha, a popular red hot sauce used in many Thai dishes that offers a blend of heat and sweetness.
Consumers can try the finalist’s flavors and vote through May 4, according to the Frito-Lay Web site.
