I'll ignore your racism and just saw Idris is an AMAZING actor, I love his work in Luther and the video he directed/starred in for Mumford and sons was so moving. Idris is a well respected actor in the UK and is adored in the US for his work in The Wire. I would love seeing him as the new 007 (as im sure the rest of my ladies would). I believe Daniel is still on for two more films though.

first, let's all just acknowledge that idris is an incredible actor. he's more than capable of taking on such an iconic role. second, i think having a black bond would be a huge deal and would be a great move for the franchise at this point, especially considering they've had X many actors in the role already who've all been white. daniel craig broke the mould for having that kinda badass rough-around-the-edges look about him, and idris has that kinda quality to him too

id definitely be here for him being bond. plus hes hot.

I'm just imagining the meltdowns it's gonna make because I still remember when Daniel Craig took the 007 helm and the fanboys weren't here for him cause he was blonde even if he fitted the bill. There's still so many ways to make it happen like Bond getting surgery or prosthetics disguise perhaps. I'm not really familiar with the novels so can't tell how they're going to base the screenplay and the direction of the film from.

Getting surgery to appear black would cause more outrage than him just being black. Bond didnt go dye his hair blonde. You just get an actor to take over the role for a series of films. Its not like each new set of films are connected. Once daniels time is done you just have Idris come in to begin his set. Who cares about fanboys, spiderman is now mixed race in the comics, people will deal.

if the actor looked like they could play bond (older, rugged, handsome) then I dont care about the race. My problem with Nick is he's too pretty boy right now.
