I find it always interesting the album creation process so I thought this interview was interesting and eye opening.

Not even mad at her though, her instincts have clearly paid off and kept her fresh instead of continuously making songs that "cater to her" (whatever that means in the rapidly expanding pop palette). In the end, Rihanna is an interpreter of music. Music is made and given to her to perform and bring to life and frankly, she does a pretty good job of it given her success and breadth of her hits.

I agree. However, I think people underestimate how rough demoes are a lot of the time. There have been tons of leaks of denoes where the song sounds terrible but the final product is pretty good. Its not like all of the hits are obvious. Often times the final product may not turn out exactly how you expected based on the demo for better and worse.
