BBC Radio 1 gave live updates of its playlist meeting for the first time ever on Twitter yesterday (February 6).
The station kept their followers up to date on discussions about which acts will be added to their A, B, C and In New Music We Trust playlists, as part of their current Access All Areas campaign.
The Script's 'If I Could See You Now', Bruno Mars's 'When I Was Your Man' and Olly Murs's 'Army of Two' were among the tracks which made it to the C List, meaning they'll get played at least once a day.
However, the team were undecided on Ke$ha's 'C'mon' and Kanye West's 'Mercy', and eventually chose to add the latter track to the playlist.
Disclosure's 'White Noise' and Fall Out Boy's 'My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark' automatically made the B List due to their popularity.
After discussion, Ellie Goulding's 'Explosions' and Muse's 'Supremacy' were also among the tracks to get promoted to the B List, meaning they'll get played at least two times a day.
Dizzee Rascal's 'Bassline Junkie', Wiley's 'Reload' and Laura Mvula's 'Green Garden' made the A List.
Nicole Scherzinger's 'Boomerang', Hurts' 'Miracle' and Maroon 5's 'Daylight' were among the tracks the team were undecided on, and they will debate their positions during next week's meeting. (source)
the lyrics encourage prostitution.
so for me personally it's a good thing that us innocent,
god fearing people aren't exposed to her immoral principles.
If she has backing from Capital the song could still be a #1 smash, Capital are much more influential on the charts. There have been songs in the past which have done just from Capital spamming the crap outta the song.
However it can also be bad, e.g Alexandra Burke flopping after Radio 1 snubbed her.
