"Thrift Shop" remains atop the tally, while P!nk, Calvin Harris and Florence Welch enter the top 10
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis log a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with their debut entry "Thrift Shop," featuring Wanz. P!nk and Calvin Harris, along with guest Florence Welch, meanwhile, ascend to the chart's top 10.
"Thrift" continues its Hot 100 command by tacking on Airplay Gainer honors for a second consecutive week. The track lifts 8-7 on Radio Songs, increasing by 23% to 88 million all-format audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. It crowns the Rhythmic genre airplay chart with a 2-1 advance and enters the Pop Songs top 10 (13-8). On Rhythmic, the pair is the just the second rap duo to top the tally with a first entry in the chart's 20-year history; Bad Meets Evil reigned with "Lighters," featuring Bruno Mars, for four weeks in October 2011. (With rap superstar Eminem half of Bad Meets Evil (with Royce da 5'9"), however, Macklemore & Lewis mark the first rap twosome with no prior widespread chart experience to rule the Rhythmic ranking.)

"Thrift" holds atop Streaming Songs with 2 million streams (up 9%), according to BDS. It leads On-Demand Songs for a fifth week with 1.87 million on-demand streams (up 9%), again rewriting its own record for the most weekly on-demand streams dating to the inception of the chart last March. (On-Demand Songs includes data from subscription services Spotify, Rdio, Muve Music, Slacker, Rhapsody and Xbox Music.) "Thrift" tops the Digital Songs chart for a fourth frame with 381,000 downloads sold (up 7%), according to Nielsen SoundScan.
As it remains atop the Hot 100, the cut rules Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a fourth week and Rap Songs for a fifth frame.
Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" holds at No. 2 for a third week after spending six weeks atop the Hot 100. Still, it tallies a seventh week at No. 1 on Radio Songs (135 million, down 5%). The track's domination on Radio Songs is the longest by a solo male since Mars' own "Just the Way You Are" also led for seven weeks in late 2010. "Heaven" stays at No. 4 on Streaming Songs (1.25 million, up 1%) and dips 7-8 on Digital Songs (105,000, down 17%). Another honor for the song: with its latest sales week, it passes 3 million downloads sold, marking Mars' seventh song (and fifth on which he's a lead act) to break the barrier.
Outside the Hot 100's top 10, Mars' follow-up single, "When I Was Your Man," vaults 49-22 with top Digital Gainer honors, soaring 28-7 on Digital Songs (105,000, up 87%). With the song's video having premiered yesterday (Feb. 5), and Mars set to perform at the Grammy Awards Sunday night (Feb. 10), the song's momentum should easily continue.
"Thrift" again widens its lead atop the Hot 100 over "Heaven," as approximately 22,000 overall chart points separate the titles (after the margin was about 15,000 points last week). "Thrift" gains by 9% in points, while "Locked" declines by 7%.
Will.i.am and Britney Spears' "Scream & Shout" enters the Hot 100's top three (5-3), while ruling Dance/Electronic Songs for a fourth week. The track climbs 4-2 on Digital Songs (170,000, up less than 1%), holds at No. 7 on Streaming Songs (1.13 million, up 2%) and rises 9-8 on Radio Songs (82 million, up 16%). (A significantly different rap-heavy remix of the song, featuring Hit Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne and Diddy, is being tracked separately and debuts at No. 49 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.)
The Lumineers' "Ho Hey" slides from its No. 3 peak to No. 4 on the Hot 100, while leading Hot Rock Songs for a 12th week, and Taylor Swift's No. 2-peaking "I Knew You Were Trouble." slips 4-5. Still, "Trouble" tops Pop Songs for a third week and closes in on the Radio Songs summit (2-2) with a 7% increase to 130 million.
EDM trio Swedish House Mafia's "Don't You Worry Child," featuring John Martin, remains at No. 6 on the Hot 100, while Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat," featuring Nicki Minaj, maintains its No. 7 rank and adds the chart's Streaming Gainer award. Surely aided by the buzz of Bieber's "Believe Acoustic" album, which launches atop the Billboard 200 with 211,000 copies sold, "Beat" increases by 29% to 1.02 million streams and pushes 13-11 on Streaming Songs.
A$AP Rocky's "F**kin Problems" jumps 10-8 in its second week in the Hot 100's top 10, followed by two newcomers to the chart's top tier. P!nk lifts 11-9 with "Try," her 13th top 10. As it follows her No. 1 "Raise Your Glass" (2010), "F**kin' Perfect" (No. 2, 2011), and "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" (No. 5, 2012), she scores her first streak of four consecutive top 10s since 2001-02, when "Lady Marmalade," with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Mya, spent five weeks at No. 1, followed by "Get the Party Started" (No. 4) and the No. 8 hits "Don't Let Me Get Me" and "Just Like a Pill." On the Hot 100's component charts, "Try" ranks highest on Radio Songs, where it retreats 5-6 but gains by 3% to 91 million.
Calvin Harris collects his first Hot 100 top 10 as a lead artist, as "Sweet Nothing," featuring Florence Welch, surges 14-10 (and holds at No. 2 on Dance/Electronic Songs). Harris previously inhabited the Hot 100's top bracket as a guest on Rihanna's 10-week No. 1 "We Found Love" in 2011-12. (He added the No. 12-peaking "Feel So Close" and the No. 17 hit "Let's Go," featuring Ne-Yo, last year.) "Sweet" stays at No. 10 on Streaming Songs (1 million, up 6%) and rises 18-15 on Radio Songs (59 million, up 13%).
Welch enjoys her first top 10 trip on the Hot 100. She'd previously peaked as high as No. 21 as frontwoman for her group Florence + the Machine with "Dog Days Are Over" in 2010.
And, in a clear sign of the genre's continued growth, with Swedish House Mafia at No. 6 and Harris at No. 10, two EDM acts rank in the Hot 100's top 10 simultaneously for the first time.

Britney's second entry on that chart since "Im A Slave 4 U" in 2001.
