Grammy winner Carrie Underwood has been known to dabble in different genres, ranging from rock and pop to jazz. Her most recent collaboration (with R&B recording artist Ne-Yo) has made the cut for another glam superstar. Smash's Megan Hilty, who portrays the sometimes-jilted Broadway actress Ivy Lynn, is prepping her major label debut album, It Happens All the Time, and one of the tracks is an Underwood, Ne-Yo and Luke Laird cowrite titled "Walk Away."
On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Hilty dished about the song, only hinting at what it's about. "It's about...walking away," she smirked. The upcoming disc was originally intended to be a quiet collection of covers before it quickly morphed into a much larger project, encompassing half originals and half covers. "We just started demoing these original songs," she explains. "I actually have a song on here written by Ne-Yo and Carrie Underwood, the writing duo."
Underwood, Laird and Ne-Yo wrote the song back in 2009, months prior to her Play On release. “We came out with an awesome song,” Underwood told USA Today. “I’m not sure if it fits within the context of the rest of the album, but there is no doubt in my mind that somebody somewhere is going to record this song.”
Previously, Underwood has worked with a wide range of music's brightest producers, songwriters and artists, including Max Martin ("Quitter" from 2009's Play On), Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler ("Can't Stop Loving You"), jazz legend Tony Bennett ("It Had to Be You") and fellow Country musician Brad Paisley ("Oh Love," "Remind Me").

The Sound of Music premiered on Broadway in 1959 and became a critical and financial success, even taking home the Tony Award for Best Musical. The 1965 film version, starring Andrews and Christopher Plummer, won the Oscar for Best Picture.

According to a source close to the Grammys, organizers were told to keep the two as far apart as possible because "they hate each other!"
Wha?? When did that happen? Well, according to a friend of Taylor's, it was Carrie that got the big ball of mean rolling! She says:
"Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steers clear of her."
Ouch! Sounds like this award show ain't big enough for the two of 'em!
We hope they can bury the hatchet before Sunday!
