It isn't, for what it has. No video, no promo. The album pre-order still went Top 5 plus the radio reception is finally getting this to recover on iTunes a bit.
I've been reading fan reviews where people call this "formulaic radio pop"
Heard this for the first time today and I absolutely love it. I wish it was doing a little better on iTunes but I'm pretty sure (and hope) we'll get a poppy-alternative SMASH as the next single, since the album is coming out in April.
Either they are treating this more as a buzz single (though it's a very elaborate video for a buzz single), or they better have some promo lined up.
I understand the message of the song and why they chose to release it as the first single instead of something more instant or commercial, but they haven't done anything to really give this a big push (aside from the video).
