I don't wanna bring anything negative, but the thing is, if this doesn't get her at least Top 10, then her era is in danger. The only thing she's floating on is "Die Young", her album isn't selling well and if her singles don't do well either RCA isn't going to continue to pay money to ship out the single and do all the business if they know she might not even sell. She has to bring revenue in and she's not doing any of that.
RCA usually works very poorly with eras if they don't do well, if they canned someone like Christina, who I'm sure has seniority in the company, Ke$ha might not be so lucky.
All I'm saying is don't be disappointed if there isn't a third single.
DripDrip is right though. We have to be realistic. This is not looking good for her.
Ke$ha used to be like, the main RCA girl. She was one of the label's biggest
pop-stars. It's kind of concerning me, because RCA will cut the project short
as she isn't bringing in the money. The era will dissolve if she doesn't do
well with the next single. That's her last hope if "C'mon" doesn't perform.
DripDrip is right, but not THAT right. There's no possible way they'd cut if off at 2 singles, sorry That's delusion.
C'Mon isn't even "flopping" compared to half of RCA's artists. It's also not even done yet.
They even gave Avril Lavigne 3 singles after the second one peaked in the 60s
There's definitely going to be a third single, C'Mon has reached top 20 status after all.
Although we can't know if this third single is going to perform any better than C'Mon, even if it's Supernatural. Probably worse if anything. But we'll see soon enough anyway, no need to jump to conclusions!
Lol why'd RCA stop releasing singles??? c'mon is a flop for her standards but its not doing nearly as badly as for example "This kiss" by Carly Rae, "Just a fool" by Xtina etc
She'll be fine. I mean people like ciara or brandy keep releasing and releasing with nobody buying their singles so...

RCA would pull the plug on any singles if they dont bring in revenue. there are costs associated with releasing a single and they'd invest in a heartbeat if she was pulling in major numbers. But C'mon is likely not bring enough revenue and neither is the album. They cannot just press on unless they see potential for major smashes.
There WILL be another single. Despite C'Mon not getting top 10 status, RCA still realizes it's a good enough feat to get into the top 20, so they'll invest in a third single to see if K$really is done. But probably something safe or something that sold very well like Crazy Kids or Thinking of You.

what costs does releasing a single have other than the video

The difference is that Avril Lavigne ended up selling over 1.5 million copies of her record.
She was still bringing in that money. Ke$ha will be lucky to reach 500K at this point.
