Seeing as Gaga was in the running for the last two Super Bowls, they obviously feel a gaga is up to par.
Those saying Gaga's career is too young. Bey and Gaga have the same amont of solo albums and Gaga has sold more than Beyonce as a solo artist. Gaga's career may be young but she has accomplished more in five years than most have in thirty.
Gaga is, without a doubt, the only popstar we have left who is able to orchestrate a Super Bowl-Eque performance. Besides, unlike Rihanna, Gaga has already proven her ability to out on an amazing stadium show seeing as her show was the biggest concert ever put on in Costa Rica, Thailand, and many other countries.
Why are you bringing up tour receipts? Are you insinuating that the people that attend Gaga's concerts are the same people that watch the Super Bowl?
Okay girls I just saw something interesting on the Wendy Williams show. She said that she was on the official planning committee for super bowl 2014 in New Jersey and she said as far as she was concerned there are only 2 people who should Perform at the halftime show (if there is one), Gaga or Rihanna
She said she would be pushing hard for either of these girls to do it. So what do you think? Are they ready? Are you here for this? Thoughts?
no, she isnt on the comittee, and they will not be performing next year. Its just wishful thinking but they are not established enough.
RihannaBowl would be amazing. Legend R has the perfect discography that would keep the crowd jumping. Add in all of the lights and pyrotechnics? The show would be flawless.
But that being said, I would like her to wait for a few years and really hone her performing skills. She has all of that potential, and has improved over the years. SB 2015 or 2016 could be her year.
Are you saying she isn't capable of performing to an audience of that magnitude? The last time I checked, BEFORE Bey performed at the Super Bowl, Rihanna has performed to a crowd that was bigger than any of Bey's crowd, so I don't get what you're trying to get at.

Rihanna's doesn't have the vocal stamina to do a 12.5 minute set of uptempo songs.
And her dancing isn't up to scratch either.

Performers won't be chosen on ability alone. Their appropriateness will be considered, as will what their brand can bring to the table in terms of hype and coverage. Viewers and therefore sponsorship/ad dollars will probably be their priority.
As years go by the spectacle of the Super Bowl increases, far beyond simply being a game, and after Madonna and Beyonce...I dare say they'll want to keep momentum up and keep building on it. A majorly hyped act adds global coverage and cultural relevance, which in turn makes more money.
So. I'd be fine with a RihannaBowl, but I think at the end of the day she isn't going to create the buzz a GagaBowl will. The sheer speculation and anticipation over what the hell she'll do will capture the worlds attention. People will follow everything through morbid curiosity, anticipating a trainwreck, and others because they're looking forward to the extravaganza. However, they will obviously be hesitant over what she actually MIGHT do and no doubt there'll be conservative types who will fear she'll turn it into a pro-gay platform, burn the bible and bum a terrorist.
I don't think they'll have a pop act for 3 years in a row though.
