Madonna's was very good as a show. But I feel like all of that was to compensate her inadequacies as a performer. What talents did Madonna actually show on that stage? She didn't do the gymnastics, she didn't do the full on dance routines, heck, she didn't even sing. Still, hers was extremely entertaining and her entrance>>>>Bey's entrance.
Now when it comes down to the performing, Bey did danced and sang amazingly. She displayed HER OWN talents. Madonna did not.
Neither was spectacular ( at the Madonna stans acting like it was the greatest performance ever), but Madonna wins by virtue of having a better setlist.
EDIT: I even forgot that Madonna's vocals weren't live for the most part. People acting like it was leaps and bounds ahead of anything Beyoncé has ever done need to get over themselves.

Madonna, obviously. I liked neither of the artists prior to their Superbowl performance, post-performance I immediately checked out all of Madonnas albums and she gained a new fan, with Beyonce I'm left thinking she's a crap performer on top of me generally not liking her.

Madonna's entrance was her getting carried by hundreds of roman warriors on a chariot. Beyoncé rose up on a platform from under the stage.
I preferred Bey's performance overall as I think it displayed Bey's TALENT.

Oh, I also thought Bey's performance was more authentic. The best part of Madonna's stage production was stolen from Kylie Minogue's "Les Folies" tour. I love originality so I went with Bey.
